Germany Lecture: How did the Nazi Party win votes in the Reichstag?

"Miss, when do we get to learn about Hitler?"
(Asks the Year 7 when you're only halfway through 1066!) Response - not until Year 11!
While it is arguably the most interesting topic in the GCSE course, it is also one of the hardest. Without an underlying understanding of different political systems and their inherent flaws - or an understanding of the social impact of sudden economic decline - the students can often feel like the 'Hitler bit' isn't quite what they bargained for. My videos go into depth about the economic, political and social factors that led to Hitler's rise to power and then the consequence of the Nazi regime on the German people. I cover the tough concepts in a visual and step-by-step way - persistently linking back to previous learning - so they can get their head around it properly. That way, they can truly grasp why Hitler and the Nazi regime is such an important part of global history.
